WHAT: Mini‐Walk by Got Service? Team
WHEN: Saturday, October 22 at 9:30AM-11AM
WHERE: Central Union Mission HQ, 1350 R Street, NW Washington, D.C.
HOW TO HELP: Individuals can make a difference in the lives of those who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless by participating in Mini‐Walks in their local communities, walking in the Help the Homeless Walkathon on the National Mall on November 19, making a donation, becoming a sponsor, and volunteering their time to support organizations dedicated to serving the homeless. Last year, the Beneficiaries of the Help the Homeless Program supported more than 400,000 clients.
"Nearly 12,000 people in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region are without homes," said David Treadwell, Executive Director of Central Union Mission. "More than 40 percent of them are families and one in four is a child. We appreciate and applaud the enthusiasm and commitment the Got Service? Team brings to this effort."
