Washington, D.C. - Central Union Mission is inviting supporters to be taken out to the ballgame tonight as they host an advocacy evening at Nationals Park. Staff and volunteers from Central Union Mission will be on-hand in the community relations kiosk at Nationals Park this evening as the Nationals take on the New York Mets.

"This promises to be a great evening for supporters of the Mission and the Nationals alike," said Executive Director David O. Treadwell. "We look forward to having the opportunity to speak with people familiar with our work at the Mission and those who are new to our cause all within the backdrop of this beautiful ballpark in Southeast Washington, D.C."

The event will be the first of its kind at Nationals Park for Central Union Mission as they combine advocacy and fundraising. Over the summer, Central Union Mission has been selling tickets for seats located in Section 104 of Nationals Park from which a portion of the proceeds go to benefitting Central Union Mission programs.

"We are proud to partner with the Washington Nationals on the event," Treadwell continued. "We appreciate the opportunity to raise awareness about our efforts and show our support for the hometown team."
