Ministry Resource Center

(formerly Food PLUS Center)

MOVE UPDATE 4/7/17 –

The Ministry Resource Center (MRC), formally the Food Plus Center, is still under construction, but building permits have been approved and we are moving forward with plans!
No official reopen date is scheduled, but it is coming in the near future.

The address for the new location has not been released. Once the occupancy permit is granted, the doors to the MRC will be wide open to the community, along with qualifications to become a member and expectations.

If you are currently in need of food, please contact the Hunger Lifeline at 202-644-9807 (Monday-Friday 9 am – 5 pm) or enter your zip code in the field at www.cafb.auntbertha.com or www.dcfoodfinder.org to search for any of the services in food, healthcare, housing, job training and more. If you are in need of furniture, contact A Wider Circle, www.awidercircle.org/contact or phone: 301-608-3504.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
– Tracy Duncan, Director of Family Ministry

Camp Bennett Retreat and Conference Center

20501 Georgia Avenue
Brookeville, MD 20833

The idyllic Camp Bennett is a beautiful 220-acre retreat and conference center in upper Montgomery County, Maryland. The Camp dates back to 1934, when the Central Union Mission Women's Guild funded the purchase of a local farm that would serve as a summer camp for needy children.

Today, Camp Bennett is home to the Mission's residential summer camp program for financially underprivileged children, and is frequently used by churches and private organizations at other times. Its scenic setting is a perfect backdrop for seminars, fellowship activities, picnics, and corporate events.
