Gifts-in-Kind

There are many non-monetary ways to support our work. Your donation of in-kind gifts and services is an essential part of our ability to provide for those we serve.

Professional Services

If you are a provider of professional services who would like to donate time to the Mission, please contact Deborah Chambers, director of strategic partnerships and community engagement, 202-745-7118. Working with us can be an excellent way to build skills and experience. We are currently in need of professionals in the following fields: medical, legal, carpentry, grant-writing, HVAC and plumbing, auto maintenance and repair, photography, literacy tutoring, elevator maintenance, and electrician.

Store Inventory

If your business, church, school, or organization would like to donate food, toiletries, clothing, furniture, computer equipment and accessories, or other items on a regular basis, please email info@missiondc.org or call 202-745-7118.

Computer Equipment

The Mission has an urgent need for laptop and desktop computers for our learning centers and for program graduates. If you have gently-used technology equipment in good working order, please e-mail info@missiondc.org or call 202-745-7118 to schedule an appointment for delivery.

Automobiles

Through this program, your donated vehicle will be used to provide transportation, resources and the opportunity some hungry, homeless or hurting person needs to make a difference in their life. We are only able to accept vehicles in working order and especially need vans, refrigerated trucks and buses. To donate, you must have clear title to the vehicle. You can bring the car to us, or we will pick it up within a 50-mile radius.

To schedule a drop-off or pick-up of your vehicle, please contact Deborah Chambers, director of strategic partnerships and community engagement, 202-745-7118.

Christmas Gifts

For almost 100 years, we have distributed Christmas gifts of clothing, educational items and toys to needy children, and you can help by:

  1. Putting together a complete Operation Christmas Miracle bag.
  2. Contributing a new toy or new clothing to be added to a bag.
  3. Giving financially by sponsoring a child.
